Cache/Proxy

Cache/Proxy properties are used to control the behavior of a remote cache/proxy server during a streaming event. Windows Media Services contains the following cache/proxy properties:

Cache expiration

Stream splitting expiration

Note

You can configure remote Windows Media servers on the network as cache/proxy servers that cache and proxy content from this origin server. For more information, see Cache/Proxy management.
