Limits

Limits properties enable you to specify the performance boundaries for your Windows Media server. Windows Media Services contains the following limits properties:

Limit player connections

Limit outgoing distribution connections

Limit aggregate player bandwidth (Kbps)

Limit aggregate outgoing distribution bandwidth (Kbps)

Limit bandwidth per player connection (Kbps)

Limit bandwidth per outgoing distribution connection (Kbps)

Limit connection rate (per second)

Limit player timeout inactivity (seconds)

Limit connection acknowledgement (seconds)

Limit Fast Start bandwidth per player connection (Kbps)

Limit Fast Cache content delivery rate

Note

Limits set at the server level apply to all of the publishing points on the server.
