Description

The Log-name subkeys store configuration data for logs that are kept by Event Viewer. Each Log-name subkey is named for the log it configures. Logs include those created by Windows and its services, as well as those created by administrators. This reference documents entries and subkeys that are common to all of the logs.

Note

  • "Log-name" does not actually appear in the registry. "Log-name" is a placeholder for the subkeys of this type in the Services\EventLog subkey.
