Insert the System Monitor control in a Web page

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

To insert the System Monitor control in a Web page

  1. Open Performance.

  2. In the System Monitor toolbar, click the Copy Properties button.

  3. Open your Web page in Notepad or a different text editor.

  4. Insert the cursor at the point you want the control to appear, right-click, and select Paste.

Notes

  • Performing this task does not require you to have administrative credentials. Therefore, as a security best practice, consider performing this task as a user without administrative credentials.

  • To open Performance, click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Performance.

  • When you open your Web page in the browser, the System Monitor graph will appear static. It represents the performance data as it appeared the moment you copied the graph. To monitor performance in real time, go to the toolbar and click the Freeze Display button.
