Change the Telephony service logon account for a telephony server

To change the Telephony service logon account for a telephony server

  1. Open Telephony.

  2. In the console tree, click the server you want to manage.

    • Telephony/server
  3. On the Action menu, click Properties.

  4. On the Setup tab, in Account Information, click Choose User.

  5. In the Select User dialog box, click Locations, and then click the domain where the account is located.

  6. In Enter the object name to select, type the name of the account, and then click OK.

Notes

  • To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Administrators group on the local computer, or you must have been delegated the appropriate authority. If the computer is joined to a domain, members of the Domain Admins group might be able to perform this procedure. As a security best practice, consider using Run as to perform this procedure.

  • To open Telephony, click Start, click Run, and then type tapimgmt.msc.

  • If the user's domain is not listed in the Locations dialog box, try specifying the domain in Enter the object name to select by using the following format:

    domain\username
