Add Security Templates to an MMC console

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

To add Security Templates to an MMC console

  1. Click Start, click Run, then type mmc, then click OK.

  2. (Optional) To open an existing console, on the File menu, click Open, click the console you want to open, and then click Open.

  3. On the File menu, click Add/Remove Snap-in.

  4. In Add/Remove Snap-in, click Add.

  5. In Available Standalone Snap-ins, click Security Templates, click Add, click Close, and then click OK.

  6. On the File menu, click Save.

Note

  • Performing this task does not require you to have administrative credentials. Therefore, as a security best practice, consider performing this task as a user without administrative credentials.
