Notes

  • To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Administrators group, or have been delegated the appropriate authority, on the local computer. As a security best practice, consider using Run as to perform this procedure. For more information, see Default local groups, Default groups, and Using Run as.

  • To open Task Scheduler, click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Scheduled Tasks.

  • The AT service account is used by tasks that have been scheduled by using the at command.

  • By default, tasks scheduled using the at command stop after 72 hours. For more information, see At in Related Topics.

  • Unless you click This Account and type the user account name and password, tasks are scheduled using System Account, which is the default selection in the AT Service Account Configuration dialog box. If you run the at command for tasks by using the System Account, the scheduled tasks run using the default System account.

Information about functional differences

  • Your server might function differently based on the version and edition of the operating system that is installed, your account permissions, and your menu settings. For more information, see Viewing Help on the Web.
