List the ADAM instances installed on a computer

To list the ADAM instances installed on a computer

  1. Open an ADAM tools command prompt.

  2. At the command prompt, type:

    dsdbutil

  3. At the dsdbutil: prompt, type:

    list instances

  4. To exit the dsdbutil administration tool, at the dsdbutil: prompt, type:

    quit

Notes

  • To open an ADAM tools command prompt, click Start, point to All Programs, point to ADAM, and then click ADAM Tools Command Prompt.

  • The information about the ADAM instances that are listed by this procedure includes the following: ADAM instance name, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) port, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) port, installation directory, database file, log file directory, and service state.
