Description

The Winlogon subkey stores configuration data for the Winlogon component of Windows Server 2003. Winlogon authenticates an interactive user and enables the user to log on. Winlogon supports desktops, the Ctrl+Alt+Del secure attention sequence, screen saver control, network provider support, authentication, and password updates.

Note

  • Many of the entries in this subkey can be configured or overridden by the Security Configuration Editor in Group Policy.
