Executable Name: Tcpsvcs.exe

Log On As: LocalSystem

Description:The TCP/IP Print Server service enables TCP/IP-based printing by using the Line Printer Daemon protocol. The TCP/IP Print Server service on the print server receives documents from native Line Printer Remote (LPR) utilities running on UNIX computers.

If this service is stopped or disabled, TCP/IP-based printing is unavailable.

Available on: Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition; Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition and Windows Server 2003, Datacenter Edition

Installed through: Add/Remove Windows Components, Other Network File and Print Services, and Print Services for Unix. (The TCP/IP Print Server and LPRMON services are installed when you install Print Services for Unix.)

Startup type: Automatic
