Description

Describes how digits in a whole number are grouped.

Each numeric value in this entry determines how many digits will be grouped together. The first number in this value determines the number of digits immediately preceding the decimal point, and each subsequent value determines the number of digits between thousands separators. If the last value is 0, then the preceding value is repeated.

The symbol used to separate the groups is determined by the value ofsThousand.

Change Method

To change the value of this entry, in Control Panel double-click Regional and Language Options, click the Regional Options tab, and then click the Customize button. Next, click the Numbers tab, and then select a grouping from the Digit grouping list. Click OK.

Activation Method

Changes you make in Regional and Language Options are effective immediately.

Note

  • Regional and Language Options in Control Panel limits this value to the three options in the table, but you can enter up to five groups of digits, such as 1;2;3;4;5, in the value of this entry.
