Choosing an Application Isolation Mode

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 with SP1

One of the most important decisions that you will make when you configure your application server is which application isolation mode to use. Although worker process isolation mode is recommended if your environment supports it, you must evaluate the relative capabilities of the two application isolation modes, considering their compatibility with the applications that the server will make available, the level of security that your organization requires, and performance requirements.
