The NetCache subkey contains entries that store Group Policy settings for the Offline Files feature. Group Policy creates and maintains these entries, and the Offline Files program reads and interprets them. In Group Policy, these policy settings appear in the Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Network\Offline Files folder.

This subkey stores entries related to policy settings that apply to all users of this computer. The NetCache subkey in HKEY_CURRENT_USER stores policy setting related entries that are configured separately for each user.

Also, many of the policy setting related entries in this subkey take precedence over user settings while the policy setting is in effect. The affected user settings are stored in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\NetCache.
