Description

This subkey represents a screen saver, and it stores entries that apply only to that screen saver.

The Control Panel subkey can contain subkeys representing each screen saver installed on Windows Server 2003. The Screen Saver.Screensaver-name subkey is a variable representing these subkeys. Each Screen Saver.Screensaver-name subkey stores data that is specific to a screen saver.

Change Method

To change the screen saver, in Control Panel double-click Display, click the Screen Saver tab, and then select a screen saver from the Screen Saver list.

  • The Screen Saver.Screensaver-name subkey is a placeholder representing the screen saver subkeys in HKCU\Control Panel subkey. "Screen Saver.Screensaver-name" does not actually appear in the registry. This is a type of subkey that stores information that is common to screen savers and that is stored in the Control Panel subkey.
