Start or stop services for Message Queuing

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

To start or stop services for Message Queuing

  1. Open Computer Management.

  2. In the console tree, click Services.

    Where?

    • Computer Management/Services and Applications/Services
  3. In the details pane, right-click the applicable service, and then do one of the following, if applicable (options that are not applicable are dimmed):

    • To start a service, click Start.

    • To stop a service, click Stop.

    • To pause a service, click Pause.

    • To resume a service that has been paused, click Resume.

    • To restart a service, click Restart.

Notes

  • To open Computer Management, right-click My Computer, and then click Manage.

  • You can view the status of a service by looking in the Status column in the details pane.

  • This procedure is applicable to the Message Queuing service, and the Message Queuing Triggers service.
