Edit or view a license group

To edit or view a license group

  1. Open Licensing.

  2. On the Options menu, point to Advanced, and then click Edit License Groups.

  3. Perform any of the following tasks.


    To Do this

    Add a new license group

    Click Add.

    Delete a license group

    Click the group, and then click Delete.

    Change the description, number of licenses, or users

    Click the group, and then click Edit.


  • To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Administrators group on the local computer, or you must have been delegated the appropriate authority. If the computer is joined to a domain, members of the Domain Admins group might be able to perform this procedure. As a security best practice, consider using Run as to perform this procedure.

  • To open Licensing, click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Licensing.
