Address Database dialog box

Use this dialog box to add, delete, or edit address database information. You can also use this dialog box to save the current address database or load a different one.

  • Name
    The user-defined name of the computer.
  • Address
    The 4-byte (IPv4) or 16-byte (IPv6) address of the network adapter.
  • Type
    The network adapter address type (MAC or IP, for example).
  • Comment
    Comments or additional address information.
  • Vendor
    Name of the vendor that created the network adapter.
  • Delete
    Click to remove the currently selected computer address from the address database.
  • Load
    Click to open the Open Address file dialog box, which you can use to load a different address database instead of the one currently displayed.
  • Save
    Click to open the Save Addresses as dialog box, which you can use to save the currently displayed address database to a file. Unless you save any changes that you made, you lose them when you load a new address database or close Network Monitor.
