Deploying Group Chat (2007 R2 Beta)

Microsoft Office Communications Server Group Chat is an extension of your existing Microsoft Office Communications Server. Depending on your topology, you can install Group Chat on a single server or multiple servers. For more information about available topologies, see Step 3. Identify the Technical Requirements for Deploying Group Chat. For information about the technical and software requirements for installing Group Chat, including planning you deployment, see Planning for Group Chat.

If your organization requires compliance support, you can install Group Chat on a separate Compliance Server after you have completed the installation and configuration of the Chat Servers. For details, see Installing the Compliance Server.
