The Windows Server 2008 Application Server Management Pack manages the logical parts of Application Server that an operator or administrator is interested in monitoring, configuring, or reporting on.

The following component events are captured in this management pack:

  • Windows Server 2008 Application Server Component Object Model (COM)

  • Windows Server 2008 Application Server Component Object Model extension (COM+)

  • Windows Server 2008 Application Server Distributed Component Object Model (DCOM)

  • Windows Server 2008 Application Server Remote Procedure Call (RPC)

  • Windows Server 2008 Application Server Distributed Transaction Coordinator (DTC)
