Before You Import the Management Pack

Applies To: Operations Manager 2007

For the Terminal Services Management Pack to function optimally, your computers must meet the following requirements:

  • Each terminal server must be managed by Operations Manager 2007.

  • Each Terminal Services license server must be managed by Operations Manager 2007.

  • Each Session Directory server must be managed by Operations Manager 2007.

  • Each Terminal Services Web Access server must be managed by Operations Manager 2007.

  • Each Terminal Services Gateway server must be managed by Operations Manager 2007.

  • Each Terminal Services Session Broker server must be managed by Operations Manager 2007.

  • The Microsoft Windows Server Base Operating System Management Pack must be installed on the computer running System Center Operations Manager 2007 computer to use some of the Terminal Services Management Pack features, including most of the performance views. The Microsoft Windows Servers Base Operating System Management Pack includes five files:

  1. Microsoft.Windows.Server.Library.mp: Required for Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2003, and Windows 2000 Server

  2. Microsoft.Windows.Server.2008.Discovery.mp: Required for Windows Server 2008

  3. Microsoft.Windows.Server.2008.Monitoring.mp: Required for Windows Server 2008

  4. Microsoft.Windows.Server.2003.mp: Required for Windows Server 2003

  5. Microsoft.Windows.Server.2000.mp: Required for Windows 2000 Server

Note

If your system includes a combination of instances of Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2003, and Windows 2000 Server, you can import all five files together.
