0x0–0xFFFFFFFF ( bytes )
0x1000 ( 4 KB )
Specifies the maximum amount of data that can be read from a file when the value of the UseLockReadUnlock entry is 1.
Consider increasing the value of this entry if your application performs a significant number of lock-and-read operations. These are operations in which an application locks data and then immediately reads the data.
Windows 2000 does not add this entry to the registry. You can add it by editing the registry or by using a program that edits it.
Increasing this value to more than 2 MB and using an application that locks megabtyes of data can cause the system to deplete its paged pool .
