DFSHost

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft

Description

The DFSHost subkey stores configuration data for a Distributed File System (DFS) root.

Tip Image Tip

To repair a damaged DFS root, use the DFS snap-in. If the DFS snap-in does not fix the root configuration and you cannot stop hosting a DFS namespace, you can delete the DFS root configuration. Delete the DFSHost subkey, and then delete the subkeys in the LocalVolumes subkey (in HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\DFSDriver). Do not delete the LocalVolumes subkey itself.
