Description
Specifies the maximum acceptable age of an incoming mailslot message. If Net Logon receives a mailslot message that is older than the value of this entry, it ignores the message.
This limitation allows Net Logon to process recent messages efficiently. It assumes that the sender of the old message timed out and is no longer waiting for a response.
If this value is set too low, Net Logon might ignore important incoming mailslot messages. However, because Net Logon typically processes each mailslot message in a fraction of a second, the default value is usually optimal.
Note
This entry is significant only if the server is used to capacity.
Windows 2000 does not add this entry to the registry. You can add it by editing the registry or by using a program that edits it.
