Description

Specifies the message the system displays to notify a user that the roaming user profile is too large. This message is displayed as soon as the system detects that the profile has grown too large.

This entry stores the text you type in the Custom Message box in Limit profile size Group Policy. Group Policy adds this entry to the registry when you enable the policy. If you disable the policy or set it to Not configured, Group Policy deletes this entry from the registry.

The system displays this message only when the value of the WarnUser entry is 1.

Change method

To change the value of this entry, use Group Policy. This entry corresponds to the Custom Message box in the Limit profile size Group Policy (User Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Logon/Logoff).

This entry is used only when the Limit profile size policy is enabled (that is, when the value of the EnableProfileQuota entry is 1) and when the policy is configured to warn users as soon as their profile exceeds the maximum size (that is, when the value of the WarnUser entry is 1).

To suppress this notification message, clear the Notify user when profile storage space is exceeded check box to set the value of the WarnUser entry to 0. If you delete the ProfileQuotaMessage entry from the registry, the system displays the default message. If you delete the default text from the Custom Message box or delete the value of the ProfileQuotaMessage entry, the system displays an empty message box.
