Explanation:

You will receive this message after you log on if Pagefile.sys, the Windows 2000 memory paging file, has the read-only file attribute enabled.

User Action:

After you click OK, the System dialog box under Control Panel opens. Modifying the size of the paging file and restarting Windows 2000 has no effect on this error message. To stop this error message from being displayed, choose Properties on the File menu in Windows 2000 Explorer or File Manager to disable the read-only attribute on Pagefile.sys.
