Users

To administer any part of the Planning Server system or to access business data, users must be assigned to Planning Server roles. You must add users to the Planning Server system before they can be assigned to roles or use Planning Server applications. Users must have valid domain accounts.

After you add users to the Planning Server system, you can change the display name or e-mail address of a user, or you can delete a user from the Users page. You cannot delete a user who is assigned to Planning Server role or assigned to any workflow task.

To view a list of all users who have been added to the Planning Server system, click Find. The results appear below the Find button. Or, to find the particular user, you can query based on the display name, user ID, or e-mail address.

To find a Planning Server user

  1. On the Users page, in the Find a user section, type one or more of the following user properties:

    • Display name

    • User ID (in the pattern domain\user name)

    • E-mail address

  2. Click Find.

To delete a user from the Planning Server system

  1. Use the previous procedure to find the user that you want to delete.

  2. Select the check box next to the user.

  3. Click Delete.
