This section provides information on restoring components that are related to MDM from unexpected failures. It includes the recovery of MDM server components, Active Directory objects and groups, permissions on organizational units (OUs), and server name changes.

• Restoring MDM Server Components
  Provides instructions for recovering each of the MDM server roles from unexpected failure.

• Restoring Active Directory
  Provides instructions for recovering the Active Directory infrastructure for MDM. Specifically, this section tells you how to repopulate the Active Directory objects and groups for MDM.

• Restoring Permissions to the Devices OU
  Provides guidance on granting permissions for MDM Enrollment Server to access the Devices OU, and any custom OUs.

• Recovering from Server and Device Name Changes
  Provides instructions for modifying the MDM service connection point (SCP) in Active Directory to accommodate a SQL Server name change.
