Removing Internet and Work Domains

2/9/2009

The following procedure describes how to remove an Internet or a work domain from the list of available domains associated with a Group Policy object (GPO). To remove a domain from the list, remove the address, or range of addresses, associated with the domain.

Note

If a device is configured with default mappings from the operator, or the Administrator removes the defaults, the device may no longer connect to any access point. The Administrator must ensure that the Mobile Device Manager Gateway Server is recognized as an Internet domain address, and that the list of Internet or work domains is not empty.

To remove an Internet domain

  1. In the Group Policy Management Console, expand Group Policy Objects and locate the target GPO.

  2. Right-click the GPO and select Edit.

  3. In the Group Policy Object Editor, expand Computer Configuration/Windows Mobile Settings.

  4. Right-click Network Connections and then select Configure Internet/Work Domains.

  5. In the Configure Internet/Work Domains dialog box, in the Internet Domains box, select the address or range of addresses associated with the domain, and then choose Remove.

Note   If there are no Internet domains to configure, then choose Not Configured. If the list is empty and the Internet Domains are Enabled, then all previous domain settings on the device are removed.

  6. In the Configure Internet/Work Domains dialog box, choose OK.
