This topic describes how to configure Web site settings for a Web application published directly by Whale Communications Intelligent Application Gateway (IAG) 2007.

Configuring Web site settings for directly accessed Web applications

Configure Web site settings as follows:

To configure Web site settings

  1. In the IAG Configuration console, click the application trunk.

  2. In External Website, in IP address, specify the address of the external Web site. If the application is accessed using a host name, in Public Hostname, specify the name that client endpoints type in the browser in order to reach the application. The host name must contain at least two periods. In HTTP port or HTTPS port, specify the port of the external Web site.

  3. In Application Server, in IP address, specify the address of the published Web server. In HTTP port or HTTPS port, specify the address of the published Web application server.

  4. In Initial Path, specify the application path on the published Web server.

Note

For trunks that publish a single Web application, this is only required if the application is not located in the root folder. For trunks that publish a single Web mail application, the default setting is the default installation path of the application. For example, /exchange for Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access. If the application is located on a different path, change the initial path accordingly.

  1. Next to Advanced Trunk Configuration, click Configure.

  2. In the Advanced Trunk Configuration dialog box, click the Session tab.

  3. In Error Message URL, specify the URL containing error messages displayed when client endpoints do not access the application successfully.

Note

If you are publishing Domino iNotes applications (for a single server or multiple servers), you initially configure settings for the application server when you run the Create New Trunk Wizard. After creating the trunk, you can edit these settings in the Server Settings tab of the trunk properties. In this tab, click Enable Domain iNotes to enable offline access to Domino iNotes. In iNotes DOLS Server or iNotes DOLS Servers, specify the hostname (DNS name) or IP address of each iNotes DOLS server. Click Launch Automatically on Start to automatically launch the SSL Wrapper in order to enable the operation of the Lotus iNotes Sync Manager on the server.
