It can reside in a controlled environment.
It provides an easy lab and staging environment.
IAG virtual machine can be acquired through Microsoft Volume Licensing. It is also available as trial software that you can download and use for evaluation purposes, for a limited period of time. For installation instructions, see Installing IAG with Service Pack 2 as a virtual machine.
|IAG virtual machine is only supported from IAG version 3.7 SP2; it is not supported for earlier versions of IAG.|
Migrating configuration settings
You can import and export configuration settings between an IAG SP2 hardware appliance and IAG virtual machine.
For more information on importing and exporting configuration settings, see Backing up and restoring the IAG configuration.
