Preparing for IAG client endpoint deployment

Applies To: Intelligent Application Gateway (IAG)

Deploying Whale Communications Intelligent Application Gateway (IAG) 2007 client endpoint components consists of the following steps:

  1. Optionally customize client endpoint components before installing them on client endpoints. For more information, see Customizing IAG client endpoint components.

  2. Installing IAG components on client endpoints. You can install client endpoints by using a number of methods including using a download file or custom installer, or delivering components online. For more information about client endpoint system requirements and installation methods, see Deploying IAG components on client endpoints.

  3. Optionally configure client endpoints as certified. You can declare client endpoints as certified by means of a client certificate installed on the client endpoint. You can then create client endpoint policies that apply only to certified client endpoints. For more information, see Configuring certified IAG client endpoints. For information about managing and deploying client certificates for certified client endpoints, see Deploying client certificates for IAG certified endpoints and client authentication.

  4. You can configure client endpoint components when client endpoints connect to an IAG site. For more information, see Managing client endpoints during an IAG session.
