What happens if I forget the Windows Home Server password?

If you forget the Windows Home Server password, there are a couple of ways that you can view the password hint:

While installing the Windows Home Server Connector software

You need the Windows Home Server password to install the Connector software on your home computers. If you forget the password, click Password hint to display the password hint. The password hint should help you remember the password so that you can proceed.
While connecting to the Windows Home Server Console

You need the Windows Home Server password to connect to the console. If you forget the password, click Options, and then click Password hint on the password page to display the password hint. The password hint should help you remember the password so that you can proceed.

If the password hint does not help you remember the password

If you don't remember the password after you see the password hint, you must reset Windows Home Server.
