  2. In the left pane, click the disk that contains the operating system.
  3. On the toolbar, click Organize, click Folder and Search Options, click the View tab, and then click Show Hidden Files and Folders. Close the dialog box.
  4. In Windows Explorer, navigate to %systemdrive%\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows NT\MSFax\ActivityLog and confirm that the InboxLOG.txt and OutboxLOG.txt files exist.

    • To modify the criteria for limiting the activity log, specify one of the following values for the LogLimitCriteria key:
      • For no limit on the activity log, specify a value of 0x00000000. This is the activity log default.
      • To set a limit on the size of the activity log, specify a value of 0x00000001.
      • To set a limit on the age of the activity log, specify a value of 0x00000002.
    • To set the maximum log size, specify a maximum megabyte (MB) value in the LogSizeLimit key. If you do not specify a maximum log size, the default is 50 MB.
    • To set the maximum age of the log, specify a value in months in the LogAgeLimit key. If you do not specify a maximum age, the default is one month.
    • To specify the action to be taken when a limit is reached, specify one of the following values for the LogLimitReachedAction key:
      • To copy the log file and start a new log, specify a value of 0x00000000. This is the default behavior if you have specified a limit on the log file, but did not specify an action.
      • To delete the log file once a limit is reached, specify a value of 0x00000001.
  4. Close the Registry Editor.
  5. In Fax Service Manager, click the Action menu, and then click Start to restart the Fax service.
