Resolve

Check the fax line number

For the Fax service to successfully send a fax:

  • The call must be answered by a fax device.
  • There must be a dial tone.
  • The fax number cannot be busy and the Fax service cannot have reached the maximum number of retries.
  • The fax number cannot be either reserved or blocked.
  • The fax number cannot be invalid.

If the fax transmission fails, you should confirm the fax line number that you are sending the fax to, update the number, if needed, and then resend the fax.

Verify

To confirm that the fax server is configured correctly to send faxes, you should:

  1. Send a test fax.
  2. Confirm that the server is configured to send.
