The Windows Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP) collects information about how you use Microsoft programs and about some of the problems you encounter. Microsoft uses this information to improve the products and features you use most often and to help solve problems. Participation in the program is strictly voluntary, and the end results are software improvements to better meet your needs.

CEIP Consolidation

The Windows Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP) consolidates data periodically, before sending it to Microsoft. This consolidation normally occurs every 19 hours.

CEIP Enrollment

Windows Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP) Enrollment helps you interpret system messages that indicate the functional state of the CEIP enrollment notification system. Normally, notifications prompt you to join CEIP within three days of using a newly-installed Windows operating system for the first time.

CEIP Upload

The Windows Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP) provides information to help you interpret system messages that indicate the functional state of the periodic uploading of data to Microsoft, if you are participating in CEIP. CEIP uploading normally occurs once every 19 hours.
