Set-ADOrganizationalUnit –Identity Accounting -Description "Accounting Department"

You can use the following parameters when you set many of the common values that are associated with the modification an OU:

  • Country

  • City

  • PostalCode

  • State

  • StreetAddress

  • Description

  • DisplayName

  • ProtectedFromAccidentalDeletion

  • ManagedBy

For a full explanation of the parameters that you can pass to Set-ADObject, at the Active Directory module command prompt, type Get-Help Set-ADObject -detailed, and then press ENTER.
