Managed Entities

The following is a list of the managed entities that are included in this managed entity:

Name Description

HTTP Service SSL Connections

Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) connections are used for sending and receiving HTTPS data.

Aspects

The following is a list of all aspects that are part of this managed entity:

Name Description

HTTP Service Authentication

The HTTP Service provides underlying functionality for server applications to authenticate clients.

HTTP Service Authentication Auditing

HTTP Service Authentication Auditing provides information about status of the service, but does not indicate whether the service is in a normal or error state.

HTTP Service Connection Auditing

HTTP Service Connection Auditing provides information about the state of the service, but does not indicate whether the service is in a normal or error state.

HTTP Service Connection Timeout Availability

Timers exist to protect the HTTP Service and server applications, while allowing connections to be reused before a timer expires. If you are experiencing connection timeout errors, the recommended solution is to adjust client sending behavior to operate within the timeouts. With caution, timeout periods can be increased by using Netsh commands.

HTTP Service Parsing Failures (HTTP 4xx class) Functionality

A parsing failure results from a client application (4xx) that sends an HTTP request that is not valid.
