Team Call Support

Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 will reach end of support on January 9, 2018. To stay supported, you will need to upgrade. For more information, see Resources to help you upgrade your Office 2007 servers and clients.

Topic Last Modified: 2016-12-01

The new Team Call feature in Office Communications Server 2007 R2 makes it possible to forward incoming calls to a defined team. When a team-call group receives a forwarded call, each member’s phone rings, and all members can see who forwarded the call. When a team member answers the call, the phones of all other members stop ringing.

Required Components

The following list describes the components that are required to implement the Team Call feature:

  • Office Communicator 2007 R2: The Team Call feature is available in the Call-Forwarding Settings dialog box. You can set up a group of contacts, referred to as a team-call group, who can answer your incoming calls.

  • Enterprise Voice: Users must be enabled for Enterprise Voice in order to be members of a team-call group.
