How to Disapprove Direct Mail

You cannot edit a direct mail item if it has already been approved. You must disapprove the direct mail item before you can edit it. You must be assigned the Commerce Server 2009 Marketing Approver role before you can disapprove the direct mail item. For information about how to obtain the Marketing Approver role, see your system administrator.

This topic describes how to disapprove a direct mail item.

To disapprove a direct mail item

  1. To open Marketing Manager, click Start, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2009 , and then click Marketing Manager.

  2. In Marketing Manager, in the Views pane, click Campaigns.

  3. Click Search on the toolbar.

  4. In the Search pane, on the Search tab, do the following:

    Select Direct Mail from the drop-down list.

    Keyword

    Type the name of the direct mail item that you want to disapprove.

  5. Click Find.

  6. In the Search Results pane, select the direct mail item that you want to disapprove.

  7. In the Tasks pane, click Disapprove.

    In the Search Results pane, in the Approved column, the status of the direct mail campaign changes from True (approved) to False (pending approval).
