Installing the Multilingual User Interface Pack (MUI)

2/16/2009

Windows Embedded POSReady 2009 includes its own Multilingual User Interface Pack that makes it possible to switch the user interface from one language to another. The POSReady MUI supports 33 languages including English, and also supports individual user account language preferences. This enables two users to have different user interface languages when they log on to the same POSReady computer.

The following languages are included in POSReady MUI. Languages in bold require Supplemental Language Support, which can be installed from Control Panel. More information about Supplemental Language Support is included later in this topic.

Note

POSReady MUI also applies to Windows Media Player 11, an optional component available on your installation media. If you want Windows Media Player 11 to be updated, it must be installed before you install your desired MUI language.

If you want to install POSReady MUI languages on custom installation media or on a network, you must copy the MUI files from the installation DVD to your destination location. Then you can run the default MUI Setup application to install your desired languages.
