Configure the Default Domain for Basic Authentication

Applies To: Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista

Configure the default domain for Basic authentication when you want to set up a domain against which users are authenticated who do not provide a domain when they log on to your FTP site.

To configure the default domain for Basic authentication

  1. Open IIS Manager.

  2. In Features View, double-click FTP Authentication.

  3. On the FTP Authentication page, select Basic Authentication.

  4. In the Actions pane, click Edit.

  5. In the Edit Basic Authentication Settings dialog box, enter a default domain in the Default domain box and then click OK.
