Edit an FTP Site

Edit an FTP site when you have to change settings for the site. Use one of the following actions to edit the site:

  • Edit Basic Settings: Opens the Edit FTP Site dialog box in which you can change the application pool to which the site belongs or change the physical path of the site content.

  • Advanced Settings: Opens the Advanced Settings dialog box in which you can edit additional settings for the FTP site, such as settings that have default values. For more information about default values for FTP sites, see Configure FTP Site Defaults.

To edit basic settings for an FTP site

  1. Open IIS Manager.

  2. In the Connections pane, expand the server node and click the Sites node.

  3. In the Sites list, select the site that you want to edit.

  4. In the Actions pane, click Basic Settings.

  5. In the Edit Site dialog box, change the application pool to which the site belongs or change the physical path of the site content.

  6. Click OK.

To edit advanced settings for an FTP site

  1. Open IIS Manager.

  2. In the Connections pane, expand the server node and the Sites node, and then select the FTP site that you want to edit.

  3. In the Actions pane, click Advanced Settings.

  4. Edit the settings, and then click OK.
