IIS Requirements for Group Chat

IIS hosts the Web Service for the purpose of uploading and downloading files in chat rooms. This Web service is hosted in the Default Web Site, which must be enabled for anonymous access. Additionally, the following features must be installed:

  • ASP.NET 2.0

  • IIS 6.0 Compatibility Mode (if installing on IIS 7.0)
