Topic Last Modified: 2009-02-12

It is important that you regularly review logs and auditing device update activity in order to ensure that your organization’s devices are receiving the updates that you have approved for them in a timely manner. Device Update Service logs update activity so that you can verify that the service is functioning properly and see which devices have received updates. The UC devices also generate logs that can be uploaded to the Logs folder, where you can view and analyze them to troubleshoot problems.

This section explains how and where to view the different types of log files and how to use log files to audit the Device Update Service and UC device update activity. For details about using log files to troubleshoot issues with your UC devices, see the documentation for the devices.
