Configuring SQL Server for CCF Deployment

The operating system for this machine must be Windows 2003 SP1 or Windows Server 2008.

Installation Steps

Machine: <SQLSvr>

Login User: Local administrator

To configure SQL Server for CCF Deployment:

  1. Install Windows 2003 Server with latest service packs, and add the server to the CCF domain.
  2. Install SQL Server 2008 or SQL Server 2005 with the latest service pack. The default number of licenses is zero; however, users will need to increase this number by at least one. Choose the defaults for the remaining options in the wizard.
  3. Make sure that the port the database is using is open.
  4. Ensure the firewall does not block the port.
