Modifying the Properties of a Hosted Application

You can use a similar procedure to modify the properties of a hosted application. This procedure does not modify the application itself, only how it operates within CCF.

To modify a property use the following steps:

  1. In the Admin Console, expand the root node *<machineName>*in the left-hand tree pane.

  2. Click the Hosted Applications Node.

  3. Click on the desired application or use the search function (right-click in the list view area), to search for the application whose property is to be modified.

  4. Enter the Name of the application in the search window. All applications matching the specified name will be listed in the List view pane.

  5. Right-click the desired application name in the List view pane and click Properties.

  6. The hosted application properties are displayed in tab menu pages as shown below. These pages contain the same screens as appear in the Creating new hosted application wizard. The CCF Administrator can modify the hosted application’s properties on any of the tab pages as explained in the section Creating a New Hosted Application.

  7. Select the Requires auto sign-on check box on the Application tab to enter information in the Credential Fields tab. If the application did not require auto sign-on initially, the Credential Fields tab will not appear.

  8. Fields will be enabled or disabled depending on the selected value in the Type combo field on the Application tab. The available types are; External Application – an application that runs within its own process in the CCF framework, Windows Control; a control that inherits from HostedControl or implements the IHosted API, and Web Application; an application that runs in a web browser over the internet.

  9. Click OK to save the changes and close the properties window.
