Enabling HTTPS for Secure Connections

Agent Desktop and CCF Server interaction is managed by the use of web services. You might want to use secure connections in cases where sensitive customer information is exchanged between the Agent Desktop and CCF server. It is recommended, therefore, that you use secure connections while communicating with the CCF web services. You can use the HTTPS protocol (instead of HTTP) to secure communications between Agent Desktop and the CCF server. You must do the following before implementing applications in the HTTPS protocol:

• Installing an SSL Certificate
• Exporting the Server Certificate
• Importing the Server Certificate on the Client
• Editing Web.config Files on the IIS Server
