Searching for a New User in Active Directory

To search users in the Active Directory use the following steps:

  1. Expand the CCF domain’s root node in the left-hand tree pane.
  2. Click the Users node.
  3. In the menu bar click on Action, then Find…. This will open the Find Users, Contacts, and Groups window.
  4. Enter the name of the user you are trying to find. Since the search is for a string, you can enter the full, partial first, or last name as search criteria.
  5. Click Find Now. The results will be listed in a pane at the bottom of the window.
