Uninstalling DCS Components

Use the following procedure to uninstall DCS or DCS Business Extensions for Visual Studio.

Note: Although you can uninstall DCS components in any order, you should not remove the Microsoft Guidance Automation Extensions and Toolkit before you uninstall the Visual Studio Business Extensions.

To uninstall the DCS Business Extensions for Visual Studio

  • On Windows Server 2003 or a Windows XP client, on the Start menu, click Control Panel, and then select Add or Remove Programs. You should see DCS Business Extensions for Visual Studio2005 listed among the installed programs. Select the application, and then click the Remove button.
  • On Windows Server 2008 or a Windows Vista client, on the Start menu, click Control Panel, and then select Programs and Features. You should see DCS Business Extensions for Visual Studio 2005 listed among the installed programs. Select the application, right-click, and then select Uninstall.

After you remove the Visual Studio Extensions for DCS, repeat this procedure to uninstall DCS and additional components (such as the Guidance Automation Extensions and Toolkit).
