Verifying the Upgrade to Microsoft DCS SP1

After you complete the DCS upgrade procedure, use the procedure in this section to verify that Microsoft DCS was upgraded and configured correctly.

To verify the DCS upgrade installation

• On computers running Windows Server 2003 or Windows XP, on the Start menu, click ControlPanel, and then click Add or Remove Programs. Confirm that Microsoft Distributed Connectivity Services SP1 appears in the list of installed programs.
• On computers running Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008, on the Start menu, click Control Panel, and then click Programs and Features. Confirm that Microsoft Distributed Connectivity ServicesSP1 appears in the list of installed programs.

The following figure shows Microsoft Distributed Connectivity Services SP1 in the list of installed programs. If DCS does not appear in the list, you need to repeat the upgrade procedure.
